Supernova is devoted to provide “sustainable” solutions on all of the covered business which could have approaches. Hence, beside providing environmentally friendly PCR and closed-loop recyclable film products, Supernova also innovatively develop a series of bio-based adhesives for coating onto the carriers to make appropriate PSA products.

Main products

The conventional PSAs are commonly composed of virgin plastic films and cured adhesives of different kinds of chemistries, which including, rubbers, silicone, as well as acrylic based. However, all of above compositions are oil derivatives, and most of them could not be degraded or treated properly within short periods, which would bring very negative influence on the environment.

SPN-AT^@, a series of bio-based adhesive as shown in below structured PSA, is developed to

be used as more environmentally friendly method to adhere various kinds of plastic films together, even to further achieve an integral green technology when the materials to be bonded are all PCR grades. The raw materials which are used to formulate this bio-based adhesive are originated from recyclable natural resources, including the bodies and remains of crops, trees, as well as other living organisms, via biological, chemical or physical methods, and the cured adhesive is degradable and recyclable, which would do great help on generating less “stubborn” waste and carbon emission. At the same time, introducing SPN-AT^@ series within the system will not bring obvious change or decrease on both mechanical and chemical properties, as well as the operation mode.

Supernova could also provide systematic certificate for above technologies, such as SGS for PCR content, USDA certificate on content of bio-based materials, etc.
